Pros: Awesome engineering, strong engine/torque for tilling, quiet/smooth operation, Honda name and performance.
Cons: Price at $349... but you get what you pay for
After doing many months of research on a small tiller, I was torn between the Mantis, Honda Harmony and a model by Echo. This website helped me out greatly in my selection of my Honda FG110, which is the 2005 version of the Honda FG100 Harmony. I've had it for 2 months now and there is never a problem with it starting or performing. Occasionally a big rock or root will get tangled in the tines, but it's easy to remove. I'm very surprised and delighted with the things it can do. I don't think it knows it's only a 1 horsepower engine, because it easily tears through my Georgia clay. It is very efficient and you can barely hear it running. Also unlike other tillers, I have never had it bounce or jerk. I can use it all day and not feel numb or sore. I believe they strengthened the handle assembly, because it is now built off center to provide more durability. I don't think you can go wrong with this unit, especially if you pick it up on sale at Home Depot like I did this spring. You can't beat the workmanship of a Honda with the product guarantee Home Depot gives you. Nothing but big thumbs up here from me!
