Pros: Worth every penny, 3rd row seat folds flat, 8 passenger (mainly kids)
Cons: Uncomfortable front seat and limited room for 3rd row seat passengers
The Bottom Line: Great Purchase, but Honda has two items to address in the next model release.

We purchased our 2003 Honda Pilot in December 2002 and after having a minivan for 8 years, we were ready for a change. We were looking for a SUV with a 3rd row seat, to hold at least 7 passengers (mainly kids) for at least a short distance. We heard much about the Honda reliability and were impressed with the 3rd row seat that folded into the floor, the same type that was 1st introduced in the Honda Odyssey minivan. We like the overall quality, the stable and quiet ride, storage areas, room in 2nd row for the kids. ISSUES: 1) The comfort of the front seats is in question and when brought to the attention of the salesperson, he said that he had the same problem and to get a pillow. We were not impressed with his answer and many American autos have much better seats. 2) the 3rd row does not offer enough room for one adult let alone three adults to ride comfortably for any length of time.
Amount Paid (US$): 28,300
