Pros:Tons of power, easy to control.
Cons:a little pricey, but well worth it.
The Bottom Line: After using this tiller, i would recommend no other!!!
After doing extensive research on tillers I decided on the Honda FR750 ARS. The FR750 is a 6.5hp rear tine tiller with ARS (Active Rotary System) meaning the tines rotate in opposite directions at the same time. This feature is patented by Honda and you will not find it on any other tiller. After using this tiller I'm certain I made the right choice. The alternating rotating tines make tilling new ground a snap. This tiller ripped 4 to 6 inches into sodded soil without jarring the tiller. After 2 passes I had plant ready soil. When tilling previously tilled soil the tiller does such a good job the wheel on the side of the loose ground tends to sink in and guide the tiller off course a little, but that is where the differential lock comes in. Just lock in the differential and this tiller tows a straight line on your next row regardless of how loose your soil is on one side. This feature is worth it's weight in Gold. The placement of all the controls are well thought out and make this tiller very user friendly. The weight on the front of the tiller keeps it very well balanced and easy to maneuver. If you are serious about gardening and don't mind paying a little more money for a LOT more tiller, this is the one for you. Standard rotating tines on a tiller tend to thrust a tiller forward and till too fast, counter rotating tines dig into loose soil too easily and go too deep and too slow. With the Honda FR750 you get both standard rotating and counter rotating tines at the same time, In my opinion you cant get better than that. I believe this tiller sells new for around $1800, I bought it from an individual who was moving from Iowa to San Antonio and was not planning on gardening in the Southwest.
