Pros: Good suction, good carpet level adjustment, handy hose/hand tool design.
Cons: Bagless mess, HEPA filter is hopeless junk, heavy, loud.
The Bottom Line: Choose something else. Personally I think bagged machines are the way to go. HEPA filter on these just doesn't function as advertised.

Based on Hoover ratings in general we visited Wal-mart and selected this machine. We thought we'd give a bagless unit a try.
First off, it's a heavy machine to push around. Second, like every bagless, when you remove the dust bin it drops a nice layer of dust/dirt, etc all over itself, your hand, your shoes and the floor. Third, this particular machine touts its "self cleaning" HEPA filter. This cylindrical filter affair rotates as the vacc'ed air is drawn through it prior to dropping into the collector bin. The unit worked as advertised for about 3 months, then I noticed one day that the filter was no longer rotating. Being fairly handy, I removed the dust collector bin and took the unit outside where I fired up my air compressor and thoroughly blew out all the air passages I could find as well as this rotating HEPA filter. Boy was that a mess!! When I put it all back together it once again worked, the filter rotated, etc. Well, we've now had this unit for about a year and I've cleaned it out with my air compressor about 4 times now and the HEPA filter has stopped rotating. So between the incontinence of the bagless arrangement and the fact that the non-rotating HEPA now means my dust accumulation volume is equal to about a 1/4 cup instead of 2 quarts, I would say this machine is quite the Rube Goldberg. We're going back to a bagged machine for sure and likely a different brand (I've had 2 Hoover uprights that were very disappointing). I will say that I have a bagged Hoover canister machine that is excellent but leave these upright, rotating HEPA, dog-and-pony things on the shelf at the store. They simply don't work and are very messy to deal with.
