Pros: Great sales pitch, dealer was responsive until warranty ran out.
Cons: Leaked repeatedly and was difficult for dealer to fix.
The Bottom Line: Do not buy a Hot Spring unless you're looking for a "starter tub" and are comfortable with buying a second tub after five or six years.

Am sorry to report that my experience with Hot Spring can only be compared to that of a Yugo owner. When I bought my tub, and paid about $7000.00 for it, I was assured how strong the shell was and that leaks were out of the question. To illustrate the strength, the salesperson smacked it with a baseball bat...and I bought it hook, line and sinker. What I failed to realize was that their confidence in a non-leaking tub only extended for 5 years. And wouldn't you know it after 4.5 years my tub started to leak from around a light fixture. The same dealer who I bought the tub came out to fix it. Two months later...leaking again from the exact same spot. Another service call and it was fixed...for the time being. But once again it started leaking after a few months...this time however I was beyond the 5 year no-leak warranty. As my dealer informed me, I was no longer covered and since it was obviously something beyond what he could repair my only option was to..get this...crate the tub, ship it to the factory, have it repaired there and shipped back....all at my expense!!! I let the pile of junk sit in my backyard for about a year before I found a company that would take it as a trade-in and moved on. But...to anyone looking at Hot Springs I only have one thing to say...make them show you the exact thickness of their shell and explain why they only cover no-leaks for 5 years.
