We were deciding between the $1500 Profile Double Oven, and this oven. But since we could not afford $1500 to get the double oven features, I settled for a basic, it cooks well, oven. At $350 I am very happy with this oven. It cooks well, and it having the Sabbat features was an unexpected added bonus.
The Sabbat feature does the following. It allows the ability to turn off the safety feature of the oven to automatically shut off the oven after 12 hours of use. This feature is actually available by itself outside of the Sabbath feature (see manual under "special features"). The Sabbat feature also disables the display, so when you press the buttons to change the temperature, nothing changes on the display. If you want to know the exact temperature you will need to buy an stand alone over thermometer. There is no button for the Sabbath feature. It is a bunch of steps that are explained in the manual, so don't throw it out. The steps are not easy to remember.
The oven is self-cleaning, so that means that it can koshered.
The range is coils, so they can be koshered. The glass top version of this model cannot be koshered. Plus, it is very cheap to replace the coils if they break, where fixing the glass top if it breaks is very expensive.
As somebody else pointed out, I wish that it did come with a knob to change the temp. Pressing the buttons to change the temp is annoying.
I think that the reviewer who complains about this model not being as good as the GE Profile is being unfair. She is comparing a $350 oven to a $950 oven. Of course the GE Profile is going to be better constructed. But is it worth $600 more? You have to decide.
