Last March I was watching QVC on television and the "Weed Hound" was being demonstrated. If you don't know what QVC is, it is an "in-home" purchasing program seen on television. It is very convenient to purchase from QVC and this Weed Hound is the best. I have a very large back yard and love gardening and all kinds of flowers, especially perennials. Usually I am weeding all summer, but since I purchased this tool, I am not weeding nearly as much as I used to.
This tool is very easy to use and there is really not much to it. It is made of metal, one long pole with a foot petal, a handle, a black knob at the top, and the weed puller-outer at the bottom.
This is what you do. You put this tool over the weed, step on the foot petal, which goes into the ground around the weed, and then just pull out. The entire weed, including the root, is removed in one clean motion. You then push the knob down and the mechanism disengages and the weed falls out.
I really didn't believe it when I saw this being demonstrated on the TV, but because the price was so low, I called in and purchased it. To my amazement, this tool really worked the way they said it would. I was so impressed I purchased one for my sister-in-law, who is also totally into her gardens. She just loved it, too.

And the best thing is the price, $19.21 plus $4.97 shipping and handling, for a total of $24.18. The tax in Connecticut was $1.45 making a grand total of $25.63. I thought that was extremely reasonable.
