I love the potstickers here!! Imagine this... tender, juicy pork and vegetable wrapped in a crispy fried wonton that is flaky and crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside... six of them covered in a spicy, sweet bean sauce that is just rich in flavor... welcome to the House of Nanking... a little dive on the outskirts of Chinatown with the best chinese food in the area.
There are no reservation so be prepared for a wait (anywhere from 10 minutes - 45 minutes) as there is almost always a line (unless you're like me and go for early lunch or late dinners, then you might not have to wait). Do not go in a group larger than 4 people, there is simply not enough seating, 2 people is best.
The service isn't great but in my experience I have never had to wait long for my food. The decor is pretty sparse and atmosphere is like that of a busy kitchen--hurried, rude, and loud but I've been in worse. The prices are cheap with dinner for 2 coming to around 10 to 15 dollars. If you don't know what to get just ask them to order for you, you'll love the food you get!! This place is all about good food.
