It's coming up on that time of year again - swimming and fun in the sun! Last year my youngest daughter was a mere five months old when she took her first dip in the pool. Needless to say, she was less than thrilled! Before her first swim I was sure to slather on Huggies Little Swimmers Sunscreen Lotion to protect her delicate skin from the sun's harsh rays. I'll be using this fantastic product again this year!

Protecting Addison's Skin The Huggies Way
My girls are fortunate enough that they're Nana has a swimming pool. They would love to spend every single day there, swimming and lounging in the sun! I'm very, very careful about sun exposure and I always have them wear plenty of sunblock with a high enough SPF. For Addison's delicate skin I wanted something that would protect her from the sun's rays, but also be gentle on her skin.
Huggies Little Swimmers Sunscreen has an SPF of 50 and contains Parsol 1789, a UVA Absorber. It was designed with young children in mind and contains Aloe as well as Vitamins A & E to nourish delicate skin. What's more is that Huggies Little Swimmers Sunscreen retains SPF protection for longer than other sunscreens - protecting longer even with swimming and sweating. It is formulated to be super water resistant!
Huggies Little Swimmers Sunscreen comes in a bright orange bottle with flip top cap for easy dispensing. The sunscreen itself is white in color and light in texture. It absorbs quickly and easily without a lot of rubbing. This is a huge plus when you have a wiggling baby to put it on! The scent of Mango & Coconut reminds me of most other suntan/sunscreen lotions. It's tropical and slightly sweet but not overwhelmingly so.
Huggies Little Swimmers Sunscreen is to be applied 15 minutes before sun and water exposure. You must check with your doctor before using this product on an infant under six months of age. Our doctor was perfectly fine with using this product.
Our Experience
I chose Huggies Little Swimmers Sunscreen simply because of the trusted Huggies name. I've used Huggies products for years, with great success. Thankfully, this product has worked just as well.
I love the fact that this sunscreen absorbs quickly and easily. It leaves a slight sheen to the skin but it doesn't leave it feeling greasy, oily or slippery. It moisturizes the skin a bit too, which, is a bonus when you're in the sun!
Most importantly Huggies Little Swimmers Sunscreen works at protecting Addison's skin from the sun's harsh rays. Using this product has kept her from burning each and every time. We've had nothing but success when using it. I apply it as directed and within 15-20 minutes we're out enjoying the sunshine. If she's in the water for a prolonged time I will reapply when she gets out and dries off. It is, as promised, very water resistant and I don't find that it washes off in the water. That being said, when it comes time to cleanse the skin, I've had no problems removing it and the scent with soap and water.
We have had no problems at all with this product irritating Addison's skin.
Overall
We have big plans for living it up this summer in the pool and I will be bringing along Huggies Little Swimmers Sunscreen. It provides Addison with long lasting protection which puts my mind at ease.
