I bought Huggies Newborn Diapers for both my son & my daughter, and it was my favorite diaper from the start. I love the cloth like cover, because I feel that it helps keep moisture away from babies skin. And the velcro tabs are great because they help you figure out the best fit for your baby. The velcro re-sealable tabs also enable you to take a peek inside the diaper every so often. The legs have elastic bands to help prevent leaks & I found that both my son & daughter had less blow-outs as newborns with Huggies than other diapers I bought. Another advantage to Huggies is that they are accurately sized. I have found that some diapers (Drypers) really short change you on the size of the diaper.

You have to fold down the waist band so that the baby's umbilical area can dry out. I am not sure if I like that or not, but then again I found that the umbilical cut out area on Pampers diapers still rubbed against the healing area so I ended up folding down pampers despite the cut out area. My daughter's umbilical stump didn't fall off for a month. So I became obsessed with making sure that her umbilical area was properly aired out. LOL

The cost of Huggies Newborns is reasonable relative to their quality. You also recieve lots of coupons for them before you even have your baby. So coupons added to buying them when they are on sale helps cut down on costs too.

I truly love Huggies brand diapers, and I plan to start out baby #3 (due this summer)with Huggies Newborn diapers. :)
