Huggies Ultratrim has been my diaper of choice for 7 ½ years (when I don’t have my baby in cloth diapers, that is, because I actually prefer cloth). Anyway, I don’t have even one complaint about the Ultratrim diapers. They have served our babies wonderfully.

Huggies Ultratrim fits around bellies & legs very well. They seem comfortable & are non-binding. The leg areas are gathered to keep waste products inside but do not pinch, scratch, or poke. The waistband has the adjustable/reusable tabs that work quite well. I haven’t had problems with these tabs coming undone on their own or sticking too much when I try to remove them.

These diapers have the cloth exterior that many moms prefer. The manufacturer (Kimberly-Clark) claims that this material is breathable. I really don’t know! What I do know is that the Ultratrims are very soft - inside & out - & are not rigid in the least. Children in these diapers will not have any problems bending or toddling around.

The best thing about Huggies Ultratrim, however, is their absorbency. These hold a lot of urine & then some! I very rarely have any leakage problems &, if I do, it’s from my own negligence in changing the diaper when I should. I have to admit that I have actually found myself forgetting to change the baby’s diaper from time to time because, unless the baby has a BM, I just don’t need to change these diapers often. They pull the moisture away from babies’ skin & the absorbent material does not clump. With that said, I also have to say that my babies have had few episodes with rashes. Finally, the Huggies have a pleasant & faint powdery smell … nothing overwhelming but there is a fragrance added to the diapers.

My only gripe is that Huggies Ultratrim do not come inexpensively. They do publish coupons very frequently so be on the lookout for those. I buy our dipaers at Costco so save some $ that way. But, for the product they make, I feel they are worth the extra money.
