Pros: Delicious, sugar-free and chocolate-y. A wonderful treat.
Cons: none for me.
Hunt's Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding Cups have been a lifesaver for me. It is a delicious individual-sized serving of rich, thick chocolate pudding and it is sugar-free! Hard to believe that this scrumptious and decadent dessert is sugar free. They are so tasty. The consistency is rich and creamy and you can rest easy knowing that enjoying them won't sabotage your diet.
My Dad is a diabetic and he is the one who first told me about trying the Hunt's Sugar Free Pudding. This is a wonderful treat for those who are watching their sugar intake, either out of necessity or because they wish to cut down on sugar anyway. He bought these in the grocery store, four to a pack and the price is quite reasonable. He often has one of his pudding treats for dessert at dinnertime. When everyone else is scarfing down something fattening and sweet, my Dad and I are enjoying our little pudding treat. It's also nice to know that there are just 70 calories in each one. No guilt here. That's a whopping 40% less calories than regular pudding and I think they are just as delicious.
There are other flavors too, such as vanilla and butterscotch, and chocolate and vanilla swirled together. But for those who must get their chocolate fix, this is a wonderful treat. These delicious little treats are made with real nonfat milk and sweetened with Splenda.
These pudding cups come packaged in four individual containers. They cost anywhere from $2.00 to $3.00 depending on if they are on sale, which they often seem to be. So each pudding cup costs between 50 cents and 75 cents, which isn't bad considering I know I have spent a lot more than that for desserts in the past. Each container is 3.5 ounces (one cup equals 99 grams and 4 cups total 14 ounces/397 grams), definitely not huge, but also just enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. This product is also enriched with 10% Calcium. Sodium is 110 mg, and protein is less than 1 gram. Total carbs are 15 grams, total fat is 3.5 grams, and of course, there is no sugar. This product does contain maltitol, so be careful and don't eat too many at once. Maltitol has been known to have a laxative effect.
