Except that I did talk with my psychiatrist who said it was fine. And he is excellent. I've been seeing him for 12 years! He told me to ease into it and that I might not be able to take the full dose. Xenadrine didn't make me sick. jo

Excellent review. (Reply to this comment)

It was very informative and well thought out. One thing that vexes me is the fact that you took it in the first place. Someone with a panic disorder who is medicated shouldn't have taken this product at all. You're one of the few who simply can't take it. That doesn't make it bad for everyone though - although, I do see your points. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that speed + caffiene = potential problems. However, for a person like myself - I don't think I fit within the risk category.

I tried Xenadrine for 1 month and had the same reaction, no weight loss even though I was eating less and working out the same. Also, beware if you have a cold and drink coffee-sudafed includes a synthetic form of ephedrine (pseudoephedrine), and combining it with coffee drinking can give you the jitters. I lost weight when I had a cold, and I attributed it to this combo.

Thanks for the very useful information in this review. I had always been curious about this product, but never really had the moulah to spend on it. Now I am glad I did not buy it.
PS I cant believe you are 50?!

This is a great piece of writing. Sorry to hear you have a panic disorder too. I am lucky enough with all the exercise, not to need to loose weight.
However, there are many people who should take notice of all the great information you have given them.
Thanks,
Susie.

I am glad you wrote this because I read to my husband who used to use but still uses Ripped Fuel. He had a bad reaction to Hydroxycut and started having seizures with his arms and he stopped for a year but recently started on that other stuff despite my protest. He refuses to believe that Ephedrine is bad for you.. Maybe with enough of these reviews he will wake up!
Thanks again

Hi Jo,
Solid review with valuable info. If it starts with eph or ends in drine, I stay away from it.
Itīs playing with fire.
Thanks for the info.

I personally think that Hydroxycut and similar products will shorten anyone's life if taken on a long term basis. Hydroxycut is a bitter pill to swallow, thanks for sharing the truth.

As always, keep writing well!

I think anyone who takes this stuff is really assuming the risk, and I hope they will check with their doctors as you did, and/or just not take it.

Sure are the same. You may see ephedra listed or ephedrine but as I said, it is the same ...a rose by any other name..etc. etc. Be careful..jo

Hi Jo......... (Reply to this comment)

I'm just curious here: Is this product you very thoroughly reviewed similar to something called Xenedrine? If so, then this is what I am taking right now as the weight just doesn't seem to want to come off any other way.
Excellent job!! I think most of us already KNOW that products such as this one aren't very good for us and truly don't teach us how to eat properly so that any weight that is lost can be maintained, but vanity and the desire to be thinner often wins out over logic in the end :-(

These ingredients are just the same (Reply to this comment)

as my container of Twin labs Diet Fuel!
I just noticed that is now listed and planned on taking these for a week and writing about it.
Lee gave me this bottle last summer since he no longer used it and wow I took three twice the first day and never ate the entire day.
I have since switched over to diet 7up and need to lose the twenty pounds I added when I turned 40.
I have never tried coffee but remember when taking this diet fuel for a couple of weeks about two a day that I never ate cookies or chips.
I just hated the taste when swallowing them. I plan on finishing this bottle and see what happens.
Now that I mentioned this is listed I have to hurry and write mine before either you or joecooper beat me to it!
I keep going to his page to see if he did it, so far I have lucked out.
