Pros: even more improvements on the t20
Cons: it is hot, literally
The Bottom Line: With a monster processor and the largest hard drive in its class, the T21 will get hot, but it is worth it for this light-weight, feature-packed beauty

I'll try not to repeat too many of the things that I said on my T20 review. My T20 review was based on my girlfriend's T20 and now I have the fortune of writing a review on my very own T21.
First the specs:
PIII 850, 32gb HD, 14.1", 10/100 & 56k built-in
That in itself is impressive enough but lets keep in mind that this is still keeping it around 5 lbs. The T22's support up to 1ghz and soon will have 48gb drives. In addition, the T21 support resolutions on the LCD up to 1400x1050 which is unmatched in the world of laptops
All this power without much weight has its cost though. The laptop gets VERY HOT. It all comes down to the hard drive. It takes a lot of effort to move around 32gb and that is where the all the extra heat is concentrated. The solution: get as much memory as possible to decrease disk access and partition your system drive below 8gb.
There aren't too many times I am sitting naked with my computer on my lap so I can live with the heat. I wanted a desktop replacement without having to lug around a 10lb laptop. You won't find a better equipped laptop out there. There is a very good reason it is the #1 laptop on epinions last time I checked.
IMPORTANT!!! I said it before, but I'll say it again. Save yourself the cash and buy it in an auction. IBM three year warranty is based on the ship date from the manufacturer if you don't have a proof of purchase so auction purchases are fully covered.
