My Mom and I browsing around Walmart in the Pets section some months ago when we were babysitting for a neighbor's puppy. I saw a box of IAMS Puppy Biscuits. We decided to pick it up for our visiting puppy and am glad we did.

There are lots of dog treats and biscuits on the shelves, but IAMS is a name I believe I can trust. Some dog biscuits are full of ingredients that are questionable at best. Many of them elicit a less-than-favorable response from our pug, Lulu --  at which points she turns up her little pug nose and walks away. (Let me tell you, Lulu is not all that fussy.) She likes most of the foods we give her, but then again, most of the food and treats are good quality. ("You are what you eat" works for canines too.)


The Iam's Puppy Biscuits are medium brown in color and have two little holes in the standard-shaped "bone" biscuit. The name “IAMS” is inscribed on each treat. They measure about two inches in length. I intentionally bought the Iams Puppy Biscuits while we were taking care of the puppy. The puppy loved the treats too, but there were most of the box left over, so for a different treat we give them to 'Lulu' too, even though she's 9 dog-years old.

These biscuits help to clean teeth and freshen your dog's breath because of the crunchy texture. There is a picture on the bright orange box that shows the actual size of the biscuit.  Look for the yellow-orange Iam's box. These cost about $3.00 for a 24 ounce size box of biscuits.

My only slight concern about these IAMS Puppy Biscuits is that they don't come in anything other than the box. I have put them into a plastic bag inside the box to keep them fresh.
