Pros: Huge display area. Sharp picture up to 1920 x 1440. Twin VGA inputs. Iiyama quality.
Cons: Very heavy. Big. Built in speakers are a joke.
The Bottom Line: Despite the high price this is great value for money, also, Iiyamas after sales support is excellent.

| terrencemorgan's Full Review: iiyama Vision Master Pro 512 22 inch CRT Monitor |
This is a HUGE display, 20 inches viewable, 19 inches deep and weighing 66 lb.
The maximum resolution of the screen is 2048 x 1600 at 85 hz. In reality the lettering on the screen becomes too small to read if you go above 1920 x 1440.
This is a display which demands a high quality video card. I used to run it with a Gigabyte Radeon 8500. With this card the display became blurry above 1600 x 1200.
Now I power my 512 with a Hercules Radeon 9000 Pro and the screen is sharp right up to the maximum 2048 x 1600.
The huge screen makes it ideal for use as a TV or DVD viewer.
The base of the unit houses a pair of 1W speakers, which in the days of 5.1 surround sound are virtually useless to this monitors target market.
Of more use is the USB 1.1 4 port hub, each port is fully powered supplying a full 500 mA. A USB cable is included.
The base also includes two non-captive 15 pin VGA connectors. You can switch between inputs by means of a button on the front of the monitor base. 1 vga cable is included with the monitor.
Finally the picture can be adjusted with a huge array of on screen controls :
Contrast, brightness, zoom, picture width and height, horizontal and vertical position, pin cushion, trapezoid, parallelogram, tilt, landing, gamma correction, horizontal and vertical convergence.
