The Bottom Line: Looks good on paper, but then they gave it to a crew of monkeys to assemble with the cheapest parts they could find. No wonder Sears dropped the model.
I'm not writing a full review on this item, as it's been discontinued I believe. I will give something to think about though, incase you happen to find it for sale in your local newspaper or something.

I bought this unit in 1998, new from Sears. Here are my experiences with it:
1.) Nice folding storage design.
2.) Long and wide track.
3.) Decent sized motor.
1.) Very very heavy to move. Once you place it, you'll probably never move it again.
2.) Heart Rate monitor is utter crap. You have to have your chest pressed up against the front panel to get it to read, any further, it doesn't receive the signal.
3.) The motor controller board WILL BURN OUT. I've replaced my board with a remanufactured one that was redesigned without the flaw that causes this problem. Cost me an extra $110. The place I bought the board from can't keep enough in stock to keep up with demand for this treadmill burning them out. Major flaw.
4.) The rubber tube that fits around the front roller slowly worked itself off and out the side. I had to cut it inch by inch off the roller or it would end up shaving into a huge pile of rubber dust inside the unit.
5.) Unit requires rear roller adjustments to align the belt VERY OFTEN.
5.) The custom program will only record up to 40 minutes of programing MAX. This is way to short a time period for a large portion of the population trying to get a good workout.
6.) The side support bars (handles) are too short, and the foam grips tend to work their way off the steel tubes. (and they are foam, not rubber or something more sturdy).
7.) The right side supporting bolt that goes into the end of the front roller broke off and now the roller is hanging down loose on the right side, supported only by the incline bar. So much of this unit was made with cheap materials!
