| Minipo's Full Review: Imation RipGO Personal CD Player |
I don't have a CDRW drive or an MP3 player so I thought this would be a great way to kill two birds with one stone. Mine worked for a while and I was happy with it since I got a deal on ebay. But the batter pack never fit securely into the player. I taped it on. Then the battery life was very short and pretty much decreased to nothing over a couple months of regular, but very limited use. To top it off, when I tried to burn only my second disc, the player wouldn't write. So I sent it in to Imation for diagnosis and repair (it was out of warranty so they were very nice to look at it for me). But they found nothing wrong. When I got it back it still didn't work. I chalked it up to a loss. A year later my boyfriend got me a Minidisc player. I would've gotten one originally if I hadn't found the RipGo with it's upload capabilities. However that died on me too. Maybe moving parts are just a bad idea. I think I'll go for an MP3 player now.
