Pros: Excellent Concept, Dirk Pitt is tops!

Cons: None to speak of.

The Bottom Line: Great characters, action and adventure. This book is a fast read.

This is a good book that is adventure based. Like the others in the Dirk Pitt series, this book covers some history, then brings up the action by uncovering that bit of history. I liked the villains. The concept of the book is also interesting, as it makes you consider the possibilities of the vase wasteland of the desert. Cussler is a master of the imagined. His words can take you to the place where the action is happening. You also get to uncover a lost ship in the jungles of Brazil. If you like action and adventure, you will like this book.
