Installation:
This was my first time attempting to install a piece of car audio equipment, and for someone with my lack of experience, it sure wasn't easy. The instructions that Infinity sends with the unit are confusing at best, and I had to do some online research just to be able to understand the concept. If you have the money and lack experience, I suggest paying someone to install it. If you enjoy the satisfaction of doing things yourself, buy a wiring kit and go crazy! There are at least 2 fuses between you and certain doom, so have at it! Just remember to add at least $50 on the the final purchase price for the necessary hook-up equipment.
Performance:
With the stereo on, and standing outside the car, you honestly wouldn't think that there's a sub and amp inside- it's just not that powerful... but if you're not looking to impress anybody, and don't want thunderous bass shaking all the joints in your vehicle to bits, then the Basslink is awesome! I listen to all types of music, and there is certainly no lack of bass, in my opinion. It sounds tight and powerful and now that I have bass in my car, I could never go back to my stock system!
Overall opinion:
It's powerful, compact, comes from a trusted company, and has all the bass any normal person would ever need.
