I have always been pleased with Infinity Products and did not blink an eye on buying these high priced Kappa Perfect Components for my Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. I have to say i am pretty disappointed. First off, Infinity does not have a 1-800 # and they keep you waiting for quite a while for any tech support, not to mention the tech was trying to make it seem like i was an idiot. Second speakers play very harsh and metallic sounding. Although this may create good imaging too harsh for my taste. I broke them in and they gradually sounded a little nicer. Absolutely NO BASS from this midrange, if you dont have a sub then dont bother with these speakers. My factory infinity speakers had better bass response. My head unit is a Sony CDX-C90 and i am using old school Rockford Fosgate Punch 100ix amps for front power (1 amp for Kappa's and 1 amp for rear 6x9s), I have a Rockford Power series 12 sub with a Chrome H800a2 amp Powering that. Maybe the Rockford amps are no good for mids and highs? I will be switching them soon. I noticed a huge difference when i listened to a pair of Focal components. Made these Kappas sound like Krappa. I also listened to a pair of MB Quart, again much better. Do yourself a favor and demo these before you buy them. Listen to them alone without a sub playing. They are not the worst out there, but there are better choices. I will continue trying to make them sound good, but will probably end up with the Focals. Thanx
