civic007's Full Review: Infinity Kappa Perfect6.1 Car Component System
One word can sum up this set of speakers....WOW. These are the cleanest, clearest, smoothest pair of speakers I have ever listened to, (the Boston 6.5 systems are a close second). I just don't know where to begin here, I have the 6.5 inch woofers instaled in the factory door cut out in my civic with the tweeters flush mounted in the kick panels. This is probably the best set up for these, or anyother componet set I've heard. You want to keep the tweeters as far away from you as you can, and try to position the woofer between you and the tweeters or you are going to have some very bright high end. I have the tweeters mounted mid kick panel and aimed away from me, with the cross over turned down a little. Even at this setting for the frist month I had them they were still really bright, then the woofers got broken in and they started to match the tweeters, so after breaking them in this set up has the best sound for my taste. These speakers can handle all different kinds of music, anything from classical to hip hop. I personaly think that they really make jazz music really shine the way it was made to be heard. But they also do rock justice by bringing out the guitars and cymbols, and my subs take care of the bass and bass drum. I have played these speakers by themselves before, and if you're into loud bass and you don't have a subwoofer I wouldn't strongly recomend them, but if you're into getting the most out of your rock, jazz, classical, or hip hop, and techno(if you have a sub) then these will definitly suit you very well. Power handleing, they are rated at 100 watts rms and i'm feeding them 90 and they love it, no distortion even when pushed really hard. I think that the 100 watt rating is an understatement. These speakers also look awesome, they are the "perfect" compliment to my Infinity Perfect subs, they look just like the subwoofers only smaller. The price is no understatement however, actually wayyy over stated. These bad boy's MSRP is set at $550, just look around and get a pair for 200 and change. Final view... definitly very very highly recomended, I wouldn't want anything else.
