Pros: More bass than you could ask for
Cons: None. Really.
The Bottom Line: You'd be hard pressed to find 6X9's that are more powerful sounding than these.

| deltadude's Full Review: Infinity Reference 6952i Car Speaker |
After listening to these Reference's for a few weeks, I've decided to update this review.
The Infinity Reference 6952i are very effiecent (92 dB). Even with only 20 wrms or so from my head unit they get mighty loud. Clear, clean, and amazingly deep.
I have them mounted in the rear deck of my Oldsmobile Delta-88, with no enclosures. Midrange is nice and mellow, and the silk tweeter gives smooth highs that aren't the least bit harsh.
Originally I had intended to amp them up to about 50 watts and suppliment them with a 10" sub. I put a JL 10W0 in a sealed box and a Rockford 160 watt amp in the trunk. The 6X9's run off the head unit's rear amp and the sub is off the rear RCA's. I played the Bass Mechanik CD at 45 Hz to calibrate the sub/amp and I COULDN'T HEAR IT OVER THE 6X9'S! Not even with the trunk open and the sub in my face!
The low end of these speakers is supposed to be around 51 Hz, but they put out plenty of energy at 30 Hz during my test sweeps.
I've now decided to scrap the sub idea altogether and let the Reference's handle the low end. I'm not looking for bass that makes my ears bleed, just good clean lows that do justice to my music. These 6X9's do that and more.
