mountainhigh's Full Review: Innova Adult Dog Food Dry 16.5lb Bag
We have 3 AKC dogs that are spoiled rotten. Sandy is a 10-year-old Golden Retriever, Lady is a 10-year-old German Shepherd and Tiffany is a 7-year-old English Springer Spaniel. They were getting fed with Nutro dry dog foods until I saw this in the store on sale and thought I would give the dogs a change and see what they thought. As usual before I buy any dog food, I always check for the ingredients to ensure that it has the Omega acids for their skin and coat and I also check the top few ingredients to ensure the ingredients are good. I was surprised to see that Innova offers ingredients from the Basic 5 food groups: Meats, fruits, vegetables, grains, and dairy.
As this food is very rich unless your dogs are already eating a high quality dog food you will want to switch very slowly with this food or your dogs will experience diarrhea. I took precautions and introduced the food to them by mixing it with their current dry food with 1/4 Innova the first day, 1/3rd the 2nd day, 1/2 the 3rd day, 3/4th the 4th day and total the 5th day.
The Product
Each nugget comes in small, dark, triangle shapes in about the size of a nickel. The bag is foil lined to preserve freshness.

The Results
Each dog loved this food and licked their bowl clean. They walked away from their dishes licking their mouths and looking fully content. Each evening they get excited when they see their dishes being prepared for their feasts.
Their stools have remained small. Their coats have remained shiny.
This brand is more expensive than the Nutro brand but it does give them another brand and taste to switch to that they enjoy for a variety in their life. I do highly recommend this product, as it is an all paws up!
