Pros: Cheap Price Tag.
Cons: Too Many To Mention Including Sub-Standard Construction, Sub-Par Connections, Ultra Low-End Overall Quality.
The Bottom Line: CHEAP. SUB-STANDARD. WORST EVER REMOTE. BELOW AVERAGE PICTURE.

Insignia (the brand) is sold by BEST BUY STORES only.
Certainly this is a low-end brand and the cost associated with buying a Insignia product justifies its purchase if you are using this set for a guest room, dorm, etc.
I've had my set for just over 24 hours. It's destined for a return.
It appears (not certain) that SYLVANIA may build this set. I say such because in this set (maybe not all), the remote is very inferior and there are no remote known codes. Even when you call BEST BUY or Insignia's toll-free line, they will tell you that INSIGIA builds INSIGNIA. Not so...
The remote in this case only responded to codes from SYLVANIA. When you bring up SYLVANIA TV's, they appear to be identical to SYLVANIA in appearnce as well.
The rear connection (JACK PAK) panel failed causing lines and buzzing on the set I bought. The picture quality even with DirecTV was below on-air quality.
A UNIVERSAL REMOTE (to replace the very sub-standard supplied remote) could not learn the set codes. I manually applied the SYLVANIA codes and then it took.
Picture quality is below par. One gets what one pays for.
I tried a direct connection via DirecTV and the picture quality failed. I tried composite connections and they failed. Finally, analog was no better.
After just 24 hours, this isn't a great review but just a initial experience.
A Sony is a Sony is a Sony. Spend the extra dollars for quality as I will do just after I return by sub-Par Insignia television.
