Umm? I would like to inform every one that I am successfully using this cam on winxp & have been for 2 years now!
All I did was plug it in & it was ready to go!
I've owned this cam for approx 3 years & it is the best I've ever owned! Everyone always comments on how crisp the video is! I don't know why Intel stop producing it.
You can even plug an old analog camcorder into the back of it & capture video.
Now I must say that the disk that came with it doesn't work in XP, therefore you won't have the games, website builder & movie creator thats included, but as I said, my cam works flawlessly on winxp. The secret is, don't try to install the drivers from the disk!
Then after 2 years of using this on xp, I went to Intel's site & found that they offer an XP disk for this cam, about $5 USD. So I went ahead & ordered it just for the heck of it. It came VERY quickly! It has a few new features but I ended up removing it because it took up too much hard drive space.
Even tho its been discontinued for several years, if you can find one, its certainly worth it.
