The Intel Pro PC Camera is about the best value out there for the money for a person seeking a great quality webcam for a reasonable price. The quality of this cam FAR exceeds that of the most expensive Logitec cameras. I have mine set to refresh on my website every 30 seconds and it works like a dream. If you are the kind of person who keeps their cam on at all times then there is a handy shutter which closes over the lens for those moments when you want some privacy. It has a large snapshot button on the top of the camera so that posed pictures can be taken.
What impresses me most about this camera is the clarity (which can be adjusted for all sorts of cool effects) and the fact that there is no yellowish tint as many other cameras seem to have.
The Intel Create & Share software is excellent, but is not compatible with WindowsXP, but Intel now offers a driver which can be downloaded from their website. Intel has also created the Intel Pro PC Video Camera which is an updated version of this same camera, but IS compatible with WindowsXP.
The swivel-base of the camera is awesome for getting different angles and views on your subject. The bottom of the base also has a peel-back adhesive sticker so that you can stick the camera to the top of your monitor and it won't slip.
One of the coolest features of this camera (as well as being something that I have never seen any other camera offering) is that has an option to plug your camcorder into it so that you can transfer your Hi8 movies to your pc.
