Cons: Sub-par image quality when acting as a webcam.
The Bottom Line: This camera promises to be the best of both worlds, but fails to be the best of either. While it is OK, it fails to impress as a webcam.
The Intel Pocket PC Camera is a combination digital camera/webcam. Unfortunately, as a webcam the Pocket PC is a poor performer, especially in low lighting conditions. Largely this is due to Intel's camera control software/drivers, they just don't allow you to fine tune the brightness settings well enough.
As a digital camera, the Pocket PC Camera takes decent pictures, but still nothing to rave about (it also makes an annoying, fake camera click and whirr sound every time you take a picture).
$150 is expensive for a webcam, and you can probably get a better digital camera for that much. If you want a digital camera, I suggest purchasing a cheap Olympus digital camera, and if you want a webcam, get the Intel PC Pro or the Philips ToUCam - they're both cheaper than the Pocket PC, and they have superior image quality.
