yayapex2's Full Review: InterAct Accessories Extension Cable & Spool for G...
I remember not too long ago getting a GameCube and realizing that the wire is about six feet; It was just way too short. I wasn't even able to lye down on my bed to play Tales of Symphonia. When I took a trip to Game Crazy I noticed the words extension cable for GameCube; I just had to buy it. For price of $1.99 I couldn't go wrong.
So What Does This Do?
The point of an extension cable is to extend it's corresponding cable. This extension cable alone is six feet. I used to be afraid of the GameCube falling to it's doom if I pulled the cable too much. Since I enjoy sitting away from my television, the cable never touched the ground; it just swung back and forth in the air. The sum of these two cables is twelve feet which is excellent for me. Now I can actually sit in different positions like having one leg crossed over the other, or reclined; it's just so great! One thing I really want to try is putting a whole bunch of extension cables in series but that's pushing it.
Okay... What About The Quality?
One thing I always worry about when buying generic accessories is the quality. I was pleased to see that the ends snapped in tight; it didn't loosen up if I moved the wire. I've also heard of other cables having a slow response when you press a button. That isn't the case with this extension cable; everything happens on time.
Does It Match With My Socks?
This cable came folded in it's original package. When I untangled it and placed it on top of my bed, it was in a zigzag pattern. My GameCube controller wire was smooth and straight. With the two of these combined it looked like a mess. After having this extension for over a month, the zigzag pattern has almost nonexistent. The color of the cable is black and that just about matches with anything.
Who Would The Surge Recommend This To?
I would recommend this to anyone who has a GameCube. You won't have to worry about your system falling if you decide to raise your arms in celebration of beating your younger brother in Mario Kart: Double Dash. You also won't have to double check how far out your GameCube reaches over the shelf. Plainly, you gave no worries.
