A lot of people have gone on countless diets that never seem to work. They take off a few pounds here and there and they put it all back on. Then there are others that lose the weight around most of their body, but they have areas that just don't seem to be affected by the weight loss, such as their midsection. One of the best books that I've ever had the opportunity to read on nutrition, is Internal Cleansing: Rid your body of toxins...
Concept
The idea behind the books is that your body is filled with toxins that you don't even realize that are inside of you. We are talking about man-made and natural toxins that come from the foods that we eat and the beverages that we consume. Different products, create these toxins that build up over time inside of our digestive tract, our liver, and our kidneys. After a while, your body becomes less effective of disposing of these toxins due to the extreme build up over years of abuse.
One of the ways that a lot of these toxins are produced, is from stress. It is believed that over time, constant stress products chemicals in your body, that build up and are held within your body tissues. If you don't eliminate the stress, your body has a build up of these negative chemicals, which need to be eliminated.
The idea is to remove all of those toxins that are in your system and allow your body to operate like it was meant to. Obviously, this isn't just a one time fix, but a process that you continue to do over time to ensure that you are truly cleansed at all times. By doing this, the idea is that you'll be able to lose more weight, as your body will be able to burn off calories and remove waste like it really is supposed to do.
Inside the book
I am a pretty avid reader of books about health, relationships, and business. I have found that this is probably one of the more well written and easy to read books out of all of the books that I have read. It easily goes through the process that you need to accomplish in order to rid your body of the harmful toxins.
Obviously, in order to ride your body of toxins, they have to come out somewhere from your body. One of the methods that is generally used is sweating it out. That is one of the main reasons for using a steam room. You just go in there and sweat all of the bad toxins out through your skin. While this method is great for removing the toxins that are inside of your skin, making your skin look much better and rejuvinated, it doesn't eliminate all of those horrible toxins within your body, that are slowing down your metabolism and causing other issues such as heart disease, fatigue, chronic pain, colds/flu, food allergies, etc. All of these are things that can be eliminated almost entirely, however, toxins in your body are causing chain reactions inside of your body producing these undesireable results.
One of the best ways to eliminate these harmful toxins is to cleanse your colon and bowels. In order to do this, you have to find a way to eliminate all of the excess within you. I would HIGHLY recommend staying home for a weekend and doing this program. You will not want to be driving around when you have the urge to go to the bathroom, because it comes on fast and hard.
The book goes through a lot of great food combinations as well as medical that can be used to quickly cleanse your bowels and stimulate them to release waste and harmful toxins all at once. There are specific foods that are recommend to eat if you are looking for a much more natural way to eliminate the toxins.
The total combination within this book is drinking lots of water, which is hopefully purified with a filter to eliminate chemicals before it hits your body. By eliminating a lot of the beverages that contain chemicals, you are obviously reducing the amount of chemicals that you have to remove from your body. You definitely want to stay highly hydrated during this process, as it consumes a lot of fluids to cleanse your system. Then you take a dietary laxative or consume all natural foods that produce a laxative effect. Before too long your body will be totally cleansed of everything harmful.
The Results
When I first started doing this, I had a lot of issues with colds and allergies from outdoor allergens. I also had issues with trying to keep fat off of my mid section. The end result of the program, after about a month or two of use, has been that I no longer get a cold and keep it, my stomach is a lot flatter and I don't have to do quite as much to ensure that I keep the weight off. Outdoor allergens don't even seem to be an issue anymore. It didn't matter what time of year it was before, I was allergic to all sorts of things, including my pets. Now, I don't even notice these allergens and my nose and eyes have never felt better. I think I've lose quite a bit of weight in the process as well and my metabolism has definitely been enhanced.
Overview
Overall, this book is a very helpful guide to effectively eliminating toxic chemicals and waste products within my body. While it's not for everyone, as it does require you to essentially force defecation on your body, the process it worthwhile and has had obvious results on my own body, and I'm sure it would reflect the same with anyone else as well.
