Pros: Easy to use, great for lactose intolerant people, great flavor
I am a lactose intolerant tea drinker (yes I put creamers in my tea, Im not a tea purist like many out there). I cant use real milk or half and half because of the lactose it contains. I also work in an office where refrigeration is limited and like anyone convenience items are fabulous!
I purchased my box of 24 single serve creamers at a local Big Lots store for $2.00. I usually dont buy food items from these types of stores, but it was brand name and had a far enough expiration date and was a convenient alternative to the refrigerator variety. This particular store had the French vanilla variety and the Irish Cream type. I opted for vanilla, my favorite flavor to put in my tea.
Each single serve creamer, comes in a plastic cup with a foil pull off tab, they are about as round as a quarter and an inch high. It is advised to shake the product before putting in your beverage as the contents are liquid.
The best part of these single serve items is that they dont need refrigeration, portions are controlled, you dont have to worry about it spoiling like the bottle counter parts that are only good 2 weeks after opening, and they are easy to use and carry with you.
The taste: Well its vanilla! Its a good flavor not overly powering or sickeningly sweet. It is the right balance of vanilla with a slight sweetness. One cup usually does the trick for a standard 8 oz hot beverage. You could also use this item to flavor, coffee and hot cocoa. Add a little flavor to your hot beverage! I have also heard of people using a bit of liquid flavored creamer in hot cereals such as oatmeal.
Again, this is a non dairy creamer (it does contain milk derivatives, but no lactose) that does not need refrigeration. A great alternative to the larger bottles, good for those on the go or who just want the convenience factor of a non dairy liquid creamer.
