Pros: excellent results, wonderfully clean teeth, Doctor recommended, easy to use and even children LOVE it.
Cons: Heads can become expensive when you have a large family.

Several + several more years ago, I developed gingivitis while I was pregnant with my first child. Lack of vitamin C and probably drinking all that apple juice right before I went to bed was causing my gums to pull away from my teeth. (And you men thought being pregnant was a piece of cake)
Not long after my daughter was born, I scheduled an appointment to see my dentist. He gave me the unfortunate news. Oh, not about the gingivitis. He gave me the news that to clean my teeth and gums was going to cost me almost three hundred $dollars$.
Not news you care to hear after spending nearly $6000 to have a baby. (yeah insurance paid for 80% of it, but that's not the point, ya know.)
Well, it had to be done. There was no way around it. BUT there was a way to have prevented it. See, throughout my childhood I only went once to see the dentist. I had no cavities and since we were poor my parents assumed there was no need to return. They cursed me for life, unknowingly.
My father was always a fanatic about my sister and me brushing our teeth. He would go so far as the smell our breath and check each tooth for ANY food. He was really trying to look out for our best interest. But nothing can take the place of your dentist!
"We cater to cowards" was the sign posted above my head as I lay there with the gas being inhaled. That was the only reason I chose that dentist. I was terrified of them all and he knew it. But he still had to poke, scrape, flush and cause my gums to bleed and ache for what seemed like an eternity. And this had to be done four times!
On that fourth and last visit though, my dentist handed me something I had not expected. He handed me several packs of Stimudents and a new toothbrush.
It was no ordinary toothbrush though. It was my first electric toothbrush. One that would massage my gums, clean my teeth and ALSO help keep that gingivitis from returning. Whether you knew it or not, once you have gingivitis, you are prone to it FOREVER.
Well, eventually that old Interplak became obsolete and finally just gave out. But until that time, there was not any more gingivitis for me. I then returned to using a simple hand powered brush after seeing the cost of $60.00 for a new electric one. What a stupid mistake! Yes the gingivitis returned in spite of my will to never give up.
This time though, I returned to the Interplak! Now equipped with a flosser and lower cost of only $29.00. I think I will stick this one out even when the inevitable takes it toll and I am down to buying another one…
By The Way, this is rechargeable and recharger is included. It also is equiped with a two minute timer. This alerts you or your children that the reasonable amount of time has been spent brushing.
One true complaint I have with the Interplak is the design is not child resistant. Meaning, my son grabbed it, looked at it, and dropped it the two and a half feet that he stands right down to the floor and the head just popped right off. It broke to an un-repairable point. However!! I called the store, told them what happened and they had no problem with replacing it for me. OH, and another thing is that extra heads for the unit can become rather expensive. Especially when you are buying for a family of six. And think about it. You are SUPPOSE to change your toothbrush ever month. Sorry, not in this family, not for a price of three new heads for $29.00. We push it till we have no choice but to replace them.
BUT I do still Highly Recommend this product. It feels good, children love to use it, I love to use it, and every single tooth you have will be the cleanest it can be without a dental hygienist in the room.
