With summer coming we were looking for a way to keep our family cool. Our family is on a budget so after searching the stores and the internet we decided to purchase the Intex 12'x36 Premium Easy Set Pool with Filter.

Our house sits on a quarter acre of land and this pool took up about a quarter of the backyard. Which is great, it allows you to still have yard for your kids to play or for gardening. Before we added water my family stood in the pool just to get a feel of how we'd all fit. All of us could comfortably lay down in the pool, but we wouldn't be able to swim laps.

The pool comes with a very small filter. We haven't had the pool up for long, but so far the filter seems to be doing a great job.

The set up was extremely easy. When it says easy set up they were definately telling the truth.

We however, did not have much luck with our pool. We set it up, filled it with water, then went in for the night. In the morning we noticed the the water level was considerably lower then it was the night before. After filling it again we discover a very small hole near the top of the pool. Since we already filled the pool and had it all set up, I decided to call the customer service department to see if there was a permanent way to patch the pool. I would have like to have seen a patch kit come with the pool.

I spoke to two people at the customer service. They were both extremely rude. Basically telling me that I must have put the hole in there during set up. Now mind you I only really wanted to inquire about a patch kit, I was not asking for any kind of refund. I finally got through to a supervisor who said that they would send up a repair kit. We are supposed to receive it within ten days, so I'll update when it comes in.

If someone came up to me and asked me if they should buy this pool I would tell them no. Now I know that products are sometimes not perfect, but I do expect to be treated with respect when I call a service line for assistance.

Currently we have a half filled pool, which my kids have had a great time splashing around in. I have yet to enjoy it.
