I purchased the 12' x 36" East Set pool first back in 2001. The first one I set up went up nice and quick, but it was quickly determined that it had a leak. I brought it back to the Toy'r'Us and exchanged it for a new one. I didn't quite get the first one back into the box though.

Problems happen, and since it was so easy, returning the pool wasn't too much of a hassle. I came home with the new box and set it up immediately. I never did get the bottom smooth, but that was fine. My 3yr old had a lot of fun as well as my wife and I.

It started happening after a couple of weeks. We would come out in the morning and the pool would be half empty because the ring deflated. I searched and found a hole. I patched it and refilled the tube. This happen a couple of more times the first summer.

The next summer (2002) the leaks occurred again. After patching the pool 5 or 6 times, I started making sure the tube was full at night, and then I would refill it in the morning before it became to soft.

By the end of the summer, I had put about a dozen patches on it and I'm sure I had probably filled the pool about 6 times over. Well, we packed it away.

This year, I set up the pool and the tube deflated almost right away. I didn't find hole that I patched up. I inflated the tube again, but it quickly deflated again. Now it appears that the valve has split.

Well, I am going to try to repair it, but I expect I will need to replace the pool. Due to the cost, I am likely to get another Easy Set pool. There is virtually no ground setup necessary (leveling with sand etc.).

I do recommend this pool as I have not heard of too many people having such problems with the air ring. I just wish that they would make the air ring stronger.
