We were so sad to learn our community pool wasn't going to open this summer, so we decided to get a pool for our backyard. We chose the INTEX 15' round 4' deep metal frame pool. I should have felt the omen when we went to check out and it rang $50 higher than the shelf price and Walmart wouldn't match the price (they did give a 10% discount though). So, we set it up (super easy) and filled it. We planned a BBQ for the weekend and everyone was so excited! In the morning we discover there is a leak. This is not a pin hole nor is it a gash, but water is visibly flowing out. It appears there is either an anomoly or a factory patch at the seam which was not apparent during set up. This pool holds 4400 gallons of water. We live in the desert and the thought of emptying the pool to return is just so wasteful (plus we can't afford to fill it again at about $300 a pop). We are going to attempt to wet patch it. The hole is on the bottom so an outside dry patch is impossible. Hopefully it will work. We will update with the results.
