Durability:
Pros:Cheap, economy way to cool down, low maintence, pool ONCE it's set up
Cons:Easy set: Fail
Ground MUST be level or pool won't be round and fill up.
The Bottom Line: For the money its a decent pool. It feels great to float and cool off. But "easy set" was the wrong name.
We got the "Easy set pool" out and started filling it up on a piece of our yard that LOOKED flat and smooth. After 1/4 of the pool had filled, we noticed it didn't have the perfect Round shape,... and foolishly thought it would straighten itself out as it filled up. By morning, we realized we were wrong. We had a football shape pool.
Our family used the football shape pool for a week, and this past weekend we spent 3 hours shoveling, leveling, measuring, re-leveling, using left over dirt and filling in spots and were certain we then had a Level spot. We laid the pool out once again, started filling it, and wa-la! A nice round pool - with a few more wrinkles in the bottom that we neglected to remove at the 2" point because we were tired and hot.
We purchased the 16' x 42" easy set pool for just over 200 dollars. Spent 18.00 on sand to sprinkle over our dirt (because we have horrible slate in our ground) Our utility company worked with us on our water bill and our water went up about 30.00 for the month by filling the pool - the chemicals were about 50.00 from a local pool shop. Over all, we spent about 300 dollars and it took 5-6 hours to do it right (the second time).
