WOW Intex Pools. I do not know where to start. The pumps.....yes they are NO good for the pool. We too bought a sand pump and has been pretty good. HOWEVER< in changing things out we lost one of the rubber seal washers ..whatever they are called.......that connects the hose to the side of the pool. Try to buy one of those. NOT! A $1.99 part cost me $20 bucks to overnight ( 2nd day air, which takes 4 days) to find out it was the wrong one. Now we are a week in to not being able to run the pump , if we do water leaks all over the yard, so I email customer service that I am disappointed and am basically told I can return the parts but get nothing back on the shipping. And get their stock answer..."I am truly sorry about what you have been through with one of our products. Believe me when I say that if there was anyway for us to make an exception and send out a replacement, we would have done so already. I once again apologize for the inconvenience and hope this unfortunate situation does not discourage you from choosing Intex in the near future. "
SO I just tossed those on the work counter. I then order the "right" part.....again $20 bucks in "2nd Day air" which came in 5 days later. I went to stores here in Beaumont AND Houston to get this silly 2 dollar part and was told by ALL that Intex will not let them stock these. And they are specific made that you HAVE to buy from them CRAZY. SO now week 2 I have to drain the pool and re-fill and re-treat chemicals, and all. Again I email Intex "customer (not) service" and get the generic reply "Items shipped via FedEx 2nd Day Air will arrive two business days after FedEx picks up and processes the package. This time does not include our 1-3 day processing time. We apologize for the situation however, we cannot refund your shipping fees". SO all I can say is for a 2 dollar washer thatwhen you have a leak you need NOW not 2 weeks later cost me well over $200 in shipping, parts, water to refill, chemicals, etc. What a shame I will NEVER buy another Intex Product. If they are not confident enough to let local pool stores stock the simple things then I will find another company.
