Pros: Proven quality from Invicta. Typical Pro Diver durability with extra classy look.
Well proven automatic movement.
Cons: No lume marker on the bezel.
This particular Invicta Diver is new to me, however I have enough Invicta divers that I do feel I can speak on this classy model. It is part of Invicta's very popular Pro Diver line. It uses a Miyota (Citizen Watch Company) 21 jewel automatic movement which is used in much of their automatic line. Although not the "prettiest" movement you will ever see, it is a workhorse of a movement that can survive well in a hard working watch. It has a 40 hour power reserve when fully wound. Accuracy varies from excellent to fair...common for unregulated movements.
This particular watch has a white MOP dial which is very nicely done, showing very subtle but pretty color variations in the light. The lume is Tinite lume used by Invicta is pretty good, easily visible all night long. It does seem to be improved as there are complaints that Trinite used to be pretty short lasting between exposure to light.
Much of the Pro Diver line is WR200m, this model is 300m (about 1000 feet /- a few feet). The crystal is mineral with sapphire coating which in my experience gives excellent durability with very good resistance to scratches. The black finish of the watch is very nicely done on both the body of the watch and the bracelet. Durability of the finish will be known over time, and this review will be updated with the results.
The crown is screw-down and the caseback is screwed in with a crystal so you can see the movement.
The bezel is coin edge and turns only counter clockwise, a function for divers. One thing the watch is missing is a lume marker on the bezel for visibility when diving. As this was probably intended more as a dress diver, its not a big deal to not have it. Fit and finish of the watch is excellent with no obvious flaws I can see.
If you are looking for a watch of incredible value for very dressy occasions, this is one worth looking at, would go great with a suit or jeans and a t-shirt. The watch is 43mm and wears very comfortably on my 6.5" wrist.
