Pros: The irOck! 510 can take a 128MB SMC!!!
Cons: The 'play/on/off' button is unwieldy
The Bottom Line: I was totally surprised by this device - I have an Archos 20GB for my 'tune mothership', and 6 other players.. this has crept up and become my favorite traveler!

| calvinrosson's Full Review: FID Irock 510 (32 MB) MP3 Player |
In the current fast evolving world of mp3 players, it's easy to overlook the irOck! 510 player.. I know I almost did. I have several mp3 players, and picked up a irOck 510 on eBay - It was advertised as 32MB internal (the 510 is 32 MB internal, and the 520 is 64 MB internal).
Most of the web information at sites that sold the 510 failed to mention that the 510 can accept 128MB smartmedia cards (SMCs). While I was awaiting my 510 to be shipped to me, I was checking the manufacturer's web pages and was delighted to fin out about this 128MB capability. (see http://www.myirock.com/cservice/500faq.htm#500-0010 ).
The product loaded easily into my win2000 pro, and is very easy to add songs to either the internal 32MB or SMC memory with the supplied software.
The visual look of the the thing is misleading - it looks like a toy! It has fast become my traveler of choice due to the light weight and 160MB of tunes.
I got the 510 on eBay for under $70 and picked up a 128MB SMC for under $45 - a great price for the tune storage!
