I owned the original Nutritone from 10 years ago and I loved it. Eventually it died on me so I'm happy Isomers came out with the second and much more high-tech version! It looks very similar - two electrodes on top, and a dial - but this newer version of the Nutritone also has a switch depending on what part of your face you will be using it on: face, eyes or jaw line.
You simply turn on the off/on switch, (it's actually a dial on the side), apply some conductive serum to your face (the Nutritone comes with a 2 ounce bottle), and apply the Nutritone's probes to various areas of your face. I purchased a small 90 second hourglass and I use this to keep track of time used on my face in each area.
The serum will dry on your face - maybe not if you just do 30 seconds per area, but I do 90 seconds per area. It will help if you keep a spray bottle of water handy to spritz the drying serum and make it moist enough to conduct electricity again, without having to re-apply the serum before you are finished with your routine.
The Nutritone uses micro-current technology that gently stimulates the face, and some users may feel a light tingling sensation during use. Just because you don’t feel anything doesn’t mean it’s not working! Not everyone feels this. I rarely feel any sensation on my face area, and I usually turn the dial up all the way. But on my jaw line and eye area, I turn the dial almost as low as it will go.
During the design phase of the Nutritone, Isomers researched the face and designed a unit to respond to the 3 main areas of the face. The eye area has finer skin, smaller muscles and responds more appropriately to the pre-programmed range. The face contains larger muscles and denser skin, requiring its own current range. The jaw area has very strong muscles and bone and requires a more intensive program.
I'm using this for my jaw area and overall skin tone. I know it will take a little while to see results in the jaw area of my face, but I am also using it to lift my brows - the brows are lifting quicker than the jaw-line. Brows are staying lifted for several hours. I'm thrilled, as I know it will only get better & better the more I use it. I'm not sure if the results are cumulative, but even if used every other day, that is good enough for me. I certainly don't want to go under the knife.
NOTE: You don't need to buy the Nutritone serum when you run out, I use plain Aloe Vera Gel from Wal-mart instead - $3.97 for a large bottle that will last you a long time.
