| Quahog's Full Review: Stephen King - It |
This book is representative of Steven King when he is on top of his game. Too often when reading his work I find myself muttering, "When will it end? Will he never get to the punch line? Will he endlessly repeat the same sentences?" This book makes you want to read on forever and when over realize you have met characters who will live on in your memory. The vast majority of his output terminates in boredom but when he is at his best he is a natural storyteller who drags you in and sweeps you along in the narrative.A group of childhood friends are forced to confront the ultimate evil not once but twice. It moves at a swifter pace than much of his other books and has a truly electrifying conclusion.Highly recommended for those of us who like the feeling of goosebumps rising as we read.
