Pros: Long-lasting itch relief, skin soothing, and rash cover-up!
Cons: If you are dark-skinned or tan, cover-up may be lighter and therefore more obvious.
The Bottom Line: Buy this now and keep it on hand for any sort of bug bite or plant reaction, in addition to poison ivy! This is great stuff!

| Niffercoo2's Full Review: Ivarest Anti Itch Cream Maximum Strength 2oz |
I have had the unfortunate pleasure of my first experience with poison ivy! I tried 4 days of antihistamine pills and topical cortizone cream with very little relief. Finally, my husband brought home Ivarest at the suggestion of a coworker. I have done 3 applications, all about 8 hours apart, and the difference is amazing! The rash was about 4 inches long by 2 inches wide, and it is now about 3 inches long, but is more like small dots and bumps rather than a continual rash. The itch is completely gone with each application, and the creme is skin-toned, so the rash doesn't appear so obvious. I am fairly light-skinned though, so it may not work as well as a cover-up for those people with darker skin or a tan.
There is a slight odor to the cream: it reminds me of a combination of Vapo-Rub and pink liquid that you put on bug bites! It's not an overwhelming odor, and quickly disappeared. I felt so much relief at having the itch gone, that I didn't care about the smell at all!
There is a warning that the cream might stain fabrics, so I put it on before bed to start. I traded my good pillowcases for older ones, but when I woke this morning, there was no trace of the creme on my pillowcases at all.
I highly recommend Ivarest for Poison Ivy or any other insect bite or plant reaction! We will keep this in our medicine cabinet and in our camping box from now on!
