Pros: Its Domokun, Great stuffed animal, Easy to Clean
Cons: I can't think of any
There's just something too funny about Domokun, and I have to admit watching all of the episodes of it on http://www.youtube.com. It is the mascot of a Japanese Television station, and is featured in a lot of commercials, and even on some dancing demonstrations. The funniest thing I have seen yet, is Domokun ice skating, for some sporting event that was held in Tokyo. It has always been a dream of mine to visit Japan, because I am fascinated by the culture and history of this country, but until then I will be forced to just hang out with Domokun.
It might be stupid of me to admit this, because even though I am a fairly responsible adult, I do have to say that I think Domokun is cool. There are some things that you never lose your appeal over, and one of these is this ridiculous creature with beady eyes, and a mouthful of teeth. My brother purchased a small Domokun for my son, which was my introduction to this creature, and now I have my very own. It was a wonderful gift that was much appreciated, even if my wife doesn't see the humor in it at all.
This Domokun is a large size of 16.5", and is wide enough for an adult or child to give it a hug. This one is actually a lot softer than the smaller one we have in the house, as its exterior is fluffy, and the middle part is less rigid. The smaller one seems to have some kind of square liner in the belly area, but this one does not, so it is much more flexible. I also like how the arms on this Domokun seem to be stitched tighter, and you can actually move them around with a lot more ease. I also like the larger dimensions on the mouth and the eyes are huge, and could be best described as button sized. Thanks to this attention to detail, Domokun is very personable, and seems to be ready to avoid his hated apples. Apparently, apples make Domokun nervous, and make him sweat profusely due to this.
This size of Domokun can get a bit dusty, so you might want to wash it from time to time. You can use either just a simple damp towel for the mouth area, or even throw it in the washing machine if needed.(Gentle, cold water) For drying, either you can leave it out, or put it on delicates in the drying machine. I have had no problems with the dulling of colors or the material through cleaning, and the eyes have stayed in place.
You can buy this Domokun on the internet, which my brother apparently did. However, it may be possible to find it at a Target or Toys R US, since they are now carrying Domokun products. This is a great stuffed animal, that adults and children can both like, no matter how grown up or not they may be. Its been a lot of fun placing Domokun around the house, and seeing my wife's reaction, when it just pops up somewhere unexpected. She gets mad, but then realizes that at least she's somewhat lucky. While some guys may chase other women, go out drinking, or other mischief, I'd rather stay home and amuse myself with a Domokun stuffed animal.
