andy65's Full Review: JBL ONSTAGE Docking Station for iPod (ONSTAGEB)
I got this for Christmas and WOW. The sound that this little thing puts out is good! It's sound even in impressed my grandparents. I am very picky about sound quality, but this one fits my bill. The highs are clear and crisp. Mozart comes out nice, clean and crisp.
Some of the more rock stuff comes out nice with just the right amount of bass for my taste.
If you like a lots of bass, this is not a system for you.
I found it on amazon for about $80 plus shipping.
If you are looking to buy one of these, I would look around and see if you can get a good price,at a store or some where online. MSRP for it is $169.95 on JBL's website.
You can use it with other mp3 players,it come with a small cable that you can put into the head phone jack and them into the back of the unit and have your player plugged in that way, but it's really made for a iPod.
The box contains the adapters for the Mini,60G/10G/15G video and 30G color,a little rubber thing that you put on the one for the 60G video that will make it work for the 30G video, one for the 40G and 60G color, one for the older 30G and 40G ones, and one for the older nano. It does not come with a adapter for the newer nano. I rigged one of the adapter for my brother newer nano to fit.
I play my older 1G nano through it and the sound is great. My brother also plays his newer 4G green iPod nano and it works great too.
Both nanos connect to the system by there docking port on the bottom of the iPod nano.
