bathtub's Full Review: JBL ONSTAGE Docking Station for iPod (ONSTAGEB)
I'm a listener and fan of Internet radio. For the last year I've enjoyed hearing a selection of songs that can't be heard on traditional radio stations. And it's free, unless you want to become a paying member and avoid listening to commercials. For the past 6 months I've been hearing commercials to save these stations from drastically increased royalty rates not applicable to AM/FM or Satellite radio if the ruling is allowed to go into effect on July 15, 2007 will be retroactive to Jan 1, 2006. What exactly does that mean? Is this a special interest law to get rid of this new way to listen to music? Who passed this ruling and why don't I hear anything about it, except on Internet radio? I realize I don't have the whole picture, but, if because of this ruling these stations have to shut down, well, I support them and the best variety of music I've listened too in a long time.
