| chopjaw's Full Review: JBL SCS150SI Speaker System |
I listened to all of the Satellite speakers out there on the market. If you want the best bang for the buck DON'T PASS on these babies. I have them hooked up to a 6.1 Receiver but I am only throwing 5.1. The rears respond well under load, the Sub is quite possibly the best 150W that I have heard. This system is in a 18'x28' room. If you want the best then prepare to spend $8000 for receiver and speakers. If you want a system to play movie ONLY then run right out and get this system you wont be let down. I paid $229 for these from a wholesale house. Now with all that said, when you go to the store and listen before you buy. You will hear many different models that may sound better in the showroom. PLEASE don't do what I did, I bought POLK,KLIPSCH,JAMO,INFINITY and returned them all because either I had to buy a SUB separately or the speakers just sounded HOLLOW or TINY and when I got the JBL home I went through the setup and MAN "WOW" what a surprise the baby's were. It took me almost 1 week to get them setup correctly. Like any surround system you have to get them set right. I have been HAMMERING this system for the last 4 months and have not had a let down yet. GOOD LUCK...:)
