I've had my Jc Penney's credit card for 4 years now and love it. My mom suggested I open it up right before I started college and it came in handy for all my bathroom towels & accessories. I don't have a high credit amount since I don't need to get the credit limit raised... I am an occassional shopper with Penney's (ie: a few times a year). It's just my card I use to keep my credit rating good.
I enjoy the ability to pay the card on their website, in store, in the mail or over the phone! I also enjoy my low, monthly payment: $15.00!!! It's great to have such a low payment, but be able to charge a lot more to it.
I have used my card on jcp.com as well as in store. I enjoy using it online because they always have really good online specials. I'm also excited because they now carry much more stylish women's clothes, so I can save even more!
I have never had a problem with the customer service agents. I have only missed my bill once, in which they called me and took an immediate payment over the phone. The lady was very friendly, extremely professional and not grouchy that I missed my payment.
Although you should have really great credit to receive a store credit card, this one is really good for teenagers going off to college and others getting their first card. You can always find so much in there stores and their interest rate is not very high. If you feel it's too high, lower your balance and call them to ask for it to be lowered... most of the time they will do it in order to keep you as a card member!
