| Lark729_89's Full Review: JL Coolmax Workout Shirt |
This snuggy long-sleeved shirt came into my knowledge when a friend's son put on some added weight and no longer fit into it. My nephew worked for the road department and was spending many hours outdoors in cold temperatures. It was the perfect fit for him and got him through the cold New England months.
Now that the air is turning unusually crisp, my nephew has just started wearing the JL Coolmax shirt again only this time he has two more. He claims that they are so snug and told me that for a snug shirt that there is still plenty of shoulder room for him to do his job without any struggling. Another added feature is that this JL Coolmax polyester shirt takes moisture away from the skin. It has been through many machine washings and is still holding up.
Over the JL Coolmax Workout shirt he wears a polyester sweater that absorbs the body moisture which then goes to the outer layer of clothing he wears which is a loose-fitting feece-lined windbreaker that keeps the biting wind and rain/sleet away from his body and lets all of the moisture become evaporated. Therefore he can work in any kind of icy weather where the elements won't harm him.
The JL Coolmax Workout shirt and his other layers keep him comfortably warm. He always keeps a cotton shirt in his car just in case it suddenly turns warmer as these New England Autumn days are very unpredictable. By unpredictable I mean it can be 30' when leaving in the morning and hit as high as the 80's by early afternoon then drop drastically just like that.
This is a far cry from years ago where the construction workers wore layered clothing that bunched up making them look like overstuffed turkeys. I'm sure that some were quite underdressed probably only wearing cotton and a windbreaker, standing there like frozen statues unable to do their work properly.
My friend's son bought a larger JL Coolmax shirt to wear under a fleece shirt and a nylon jacket. He is a jogger and jogs in any kind of weather and finds these shirts very comfortable. His mother tells me that he has several of them now and prefers the black colored shirts.
Because of the success stories I received about this shirt, I ordered one for myself and I now have my Christmas list taken care of with reassurance of the recipient receiving a fine product from my past experiences with this wonderful piece of clothing.
The shirts are $26 each if bought by quantities and come in a variety of colors including white. Before I purchased one, I was promised by my nephew that these shirts are great for boating, hiking, skiing and most any kind of sport to keep the wearer warm and comfortable due to the fact that the special material takes moisture away from the skin and the shoulder area of the shirt is made so that the person can move freely. He is absolutely right.
I think the JL Coolmax Workout shirts are great for women to wear also. They come in women's sizes but the one I purchased is a man's shirt and with all the outdoor activity I do it suits me fine.
With the crisp cold autumn days I have been outdoors constantly in late afternoons apple and pumpkin-picking through orchards and hiking through the woods enjoying the foliage and then cleaning up the brittle leaves. Word of warning though, don't wear this shirt before the brisk weather arrives where the sun will be beating down on you all day long. Your body will become too hot. At least for me it is.
Of course winter will bring the bigger chill and I will be all prepared taking the kids sledding, building snowmen, etc. with the white JL Coolmax shirt I purchased in the past at the JL Company at 800-831-3305. Yep, it's still wearable. I have searched sports stores personally and have been unable to find these shirts but LL Bean carries them for $26 to $29 depending on regular or tall sizes. www.llbean.com
I know that you may find other clothing for cold weather at more reasonable prices but these clothes last through many washings and are made especially for quot;elbow room" where the others are only good a few times and then end up in the Goodwill box.
