| BabyDDM's Full Review: JVC GR-AXM210U Camcorder |
When I was 7 months pregnant, we decided we wanted to have a camcorder to catch all the details of our new little one's life. We went to Circuit City and left with this camcorder, and I couldn't be happier.
It is so little and lightweight, it is easy to tape for long periods of time. Also it has many features, like titles and one which keeps down the jerking of a shaking hand (the name of this feature escapes me at the moment.). I love the 3 inch color screen because it keeps me from having to squint through the eyepiece.
Also it has different settings for low light so you rarely have to use the light, which is great. (No flood lights in your subject's face.) There is another setting for action, so you don't have to miss a bit of the high-paced action when you put the winning play in slow motion. There are also "special effects" settings: sepia, negative, elapse time photo, etc.
Ours also came with a tripod and carrying case, although I am not sure if that was part of the package with the camcorder, or a store deal. It comes with a tiny remote for zooming and starting and stopping recording while it is on the tripod. It also isn't too hard on batteries, ours can last about 2 hours with minimal zooming.
