Nice Camcorder

Pros: Great picture quality, easy and smooth zooming, nice transitions, compact design.

Cons: Shell's paint is very thin, Stock battery sucks (1 hour max), NightShot is bad.

The Bottom Line: This is a great camera for a beginner in digital video.

I have owned mine for about a year now and I have taken some nice shots with it. I create VCD's out of my home movies and it works great with Pinnacle Studio 8 and a good Firewire card and cable. The only things I didn't really like about it is that if your camera is not secure in it's case, the constant rubbing inside the case will wear the paint off the plastic shell on protruding areas. Also the stock battery life sucks, so be prepared to purchase another battery for about 60 bucks. The Nigh Shot, when activated SLOWS the frame rate down dramatically which also sucks. Sony's NightAlive is much better! Other than that, this camera has alot of nice features and great picture quality. You can't beat the price and it's compact design either.
